7 Votes is a free, nonpartisan app that helps you support seven people you care about through three steps: get registered, make a plan to vote, and vote. You send personal texts from your own phone, and your friends follow a simple link to their steps.

A message from someone you know and trust is one of the most effective ways to turn a good intention into an actual vote. Seven is a focused number — big enough to matter, small enough to do well.

No. 7 Votes does not support any party, candidate, or issue position. We help eligible citizens participate in elections — nothing more, nothing less.

We store your first name, state and email (so you can sign in on any device), plus the first names of the people you add and a log of the notes you tap to send. We never collect your friends' phone numbers, your contact list, voter records, party, or how anyone votes. If a friend chooses to get reminders from 7 Votes, we store the email they give us; you won't see it. We will never sell or share anyone's information.

No. Each friend gets a personal link in your text. They click it and see their three steps — no app, no account, no download required.

Use Scan. Check. Protect. (scancheckprotect.org), a free tool from True the Vote. It confirms your current registration, checks that you're no longer registered at old addresses, and lets you report problems. It asks for your driver's license number or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number; those go to Scan. Check. Protect., not to 7 Votes.

You do, from your own phone. The app helps you draft a message, but you send it yourself. Your friends hear from you, not from us — and that's the whole point.

Deadlines link to your state's official election office. Any deadline we show in the app has been checked against the official state source, and we always link to it.

Yes. Start with seven. When your first seven is full, you can start another, up to seven sevens. You can add or remove people at any time, and each friend updates their own steps from their personal link.

A fun way to see progress. You earn a star each time a friend registers, makes a plan and votes, so each seven can earn 21 stars. When everyone in a seven votes, you earn a gold badge. Stars and badges are just for fun and have no cash value.

Each day until Election Day, the app suggests one short text to send, like a reminder about deadlines or a true story about a close race. You can edit it, and it fills in each friend's name and personal link. It always goes from your own phone.

Yes, if they choose to. Each friend's page has an optional sign-up for reminder emails with key dates and an Election Day reminder. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share their email.

Yes. Go to Settings and tap Delete my data. It removes you and everyone you added, right away.

Mark them as done and celebrate. Early votes and mail ballots count exactly the same as Election Day votes. Check that one off and keep going.
